Frank House
Anne Frank House opened on May 3, 1960
Monday, July 6, 1942 the Frank family went into hiding for 2 years in
this building on the Prinsengracht, a street along one of Amsterdam's canals.
Anne kept a diary, she described her life, family and companions, and their
situation. Later her diary became a famous book, Anne Frank: The Diary of

founded in 1800, to exhibit the collections of Dutch stadtholders. The Rijksmuseum
is dedicated to arts, crafts and history. It has a large collection of paintings
from the Dutch Golden Age and a substantial collection of Asian art. The
Rijksmuseum Research Library is part of the Rijksmuseum, and is the largest
