  • Alafia River State Park features a 20-mile network of off-road biking trails, 20 miles of equestrian trails with a 30-site equestrian/family camping area, and 20 miles of hiking trails. Scattered lakes and the south prong of the Alafia River provide opportunities for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Alafia River State Park is located 10 miles southeast of Tampa on County Road 39.

  • Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park offer over 5 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horse riding, along with another 3 miles of designated bike trails. The Lake Overstreet trails continue to be popular with fitness enthusiasts. Ornamental gardens were first planted in 1923.   • Amelia Island State Park offers over 200 acres of undeveloped recreational opportunities. Fishing is the top recreational activity at the park The park is comprised of 200 acres of beaches, salt marshes and maritime forests. Amelia Island State Park is the only state park in Florida to offer horseback riding on the beach. Located 7 miles north of Little Talbot Island State Park (or 8 miles south of Fernandina Beach)on S.R. A1A.

  • Anastasia State Park "The Real Florida" with ancient dunes over ten thousand years old, and an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to create the nearby fortress, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.   • Anclote Key Preserve State Park features a four-mile-long beach, this park is accessible and picturesque 19th Century Lighthouse, that stands sentry on the southern portion of the island.   • Avalon State Park has more than a mile of increasingly rare undeveloped beachfront and is a habitat for many species and the threatened and endangered sea turtles. Avalon is one of the most picturesque beach settings that you will ever see. Located along A1A on North Hutchinson Island, four miles north of Ft. Pierce Inlet State Park.

  • Bahia Honda State Park Henry Flagler's railroad to Key West turned the remote island of Bahia Honda Key into a tropical destination. Today, the island is home to one of Florida's southernmost state parks, known for beautiful beaches, magnificent sunsets, and excellent snorkeling. Bahia Honda is located 12 mile south of Marathon on US1.
