List of New York State Parks Allan H. Treman State Marine Park is located north of Ithaca, NY. Allan H. Treman State Park is one of the largest inland marinas in New York State. Allegany State Park is located in Salamanca, NY. Allegany State Park has 2 developed areas, Red House and Quaker, making this state park the largest state park in the system. Both areas offer sand beaches, picnic areas, museums, hiking trails and naturalist walks. Allegany State Park - Quaker Area is located11 miles west of Salamanca. Allegany State Park - Red House Area is located 7 miles west of Salamanca Anthony Wayne Recreation Area - Harriman State Park is located 40 miles north of New York City. The Anthony Wayne Recreation Area of Harriman State Park lies in a wooded valley. Battle Island State Park is located 3 miles north of Fulton, NY. Battle Island State Park has the 18-hole Battle Island State Park Golf Course and this state park is popular in winter for cross-country skiing. Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park is located near Oakdale, NY. The Bayard Cutting Arboretum's collection of fir, spruce, pine, cypress, hemlock and other conifers is probably the most extensive to be found on Long Island and there is extensive plantings of dwarf evergreens, rhododendron, azaleas, hollies, oaks and wildflowers. Bayswater Point State Park is located in Queens. Bayswater Point State Park's terrain is varied and includes beachfront, wetlands and woodlands, an ideal habitat for migrating and nesting birds. Passive recreation, such as hiking and nature study, are encouraged. Bear Mountain State Park is located in Bear Mountain, NY. Bear Mountain State Park is situated in rugged mountains rising from the west bank of the Hudson River. Bear Mountain State Park features a dock on the Hudson, lake and river fishing, a swimming pool, a zoo, hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails and ski-jumps. There is also an outdoor rink, open to ice skaters from late October through mid-March and a Merry-Go-Round with hand painted scenes of the park, 42 hand carved seats of local native animals, black bear, wild turkey, deer, raccoon, skunk, canada geese, fox, swan, bobcat, rabbit and more. Beaver Island State Park is located at the south end of Grand Island in the upper Niagara River, 9 miles north of Buffalo, NY. Beaver Island State Park has a 1/2 mile sandy beach adjacent to a marina, boat, canoe/kayak launches, bike and nature trails, a nature center, athletic fields, playgrounds, horseshoe pits and an18 hole championship golf course. Also located in Beaver Island State Park is the River Lea house and musuem. Beaver Pond Campgrounds - Harriman State Park is located in Bear Mountain, NY Belmont Lake State Park is located near Babylon, NY. Bethpage State Park is located near Farmingdale, NY. Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park is located in Westford, NY. Big Six Mile Creek Marina sites on the Niagara River, mid-way up the west shore of Grand Island on Whitehaven. Blauvelt State Park is located in Nyack, NY. Bonavista State Park Golf Course is located in Ovid, NY Bowman Lake State Park is located 8 miles west of Oxford, NY. Buckhorn Island State Park located at the north end of Grand Island. Burnham Point State Park is located 4 miles east of Cape Vincent. Buttermilk Falls State Park is located south of Ithaca.
