Alagnak Wild River National Park
Offers 66 miles of whitewater rafting and is one of the most popular sport fishing destinations in all of southwest Alaska. Archeologists surveying the Alangnak Wild Rive National Park have found sites belonging to the Paleoarctic tradition (7,000 to 9,000 years ago). The oldest radiocarbon dated sites are about 2,300 years old.

Aniakchak National Monument
Aniakchak caldera features, lava flows, cinder cones, volcanically active "Ring of Fire," the monument is home to an impressive six-mile wide, 2,500 ft. deep caldera formed during a massive eruption 3,500 years ago, as well as Surprise Lake, the river flows swiftly through a narrow gorge in the caldera wall—"The Gates"—and then through treeless tundra to the sea.

Bering Land Bridge National Preserve
The preserve is a remnant of the land bridge that once connected Asia with North America. Devil Lake, in Bering Land Bridge National Preserve is the largest maar in the world.

Cape Krusenstern National Monument
Preserves Archeological sites along this coastline. Musk oxen were reintroduced 1970.

Denali National Park and Preserve
Denali National Park features Mount McKinley, the highest mountain in North America. Denali National Park has the only sled dogs in the U.S. that help protect a national park.

Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve
Preserves part of Central Brooks Range, an extension of the Rocky Mountains.

Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve
Glacier Bay Park preserves the highest peak in southeast Alaska. Glacier Bay National Park is a globally significant marine and terrestrial wilderness sanctuary, with tidewater glaciers, snow-capped mountain ranges, ocean coastlines, deep fjords, and freshwater rivers and lakes.

Katmai National Park and Preserve
Katmai "Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes" is famous for volcanoes, and for at least the last 9,000 years—before the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes and before Brooks Camp was a paradise for bears—Katmai has been a home for people.

Kenai Fjords National Park
Has four major ice caps in the US. At Kenai National Park you can walk very close to an active glacier.

Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park-Klondike
Commemorates the Alaska gold rush and Washington State gold rush with historic buildings.
Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park-Seattle

Kobuk Valley National Park
Features 25-square mile Great Kobuk Sand Dunes. Twice a year, nearly half a million caribou migrate through Kobuk Valley National Park.

Lake Clark National Park and Preserve
Features two active volcanoes, Mt. Iliamna and Mt. Redoubt.

Noatak National Preserve
The Noatak basin is internationally recognized as a Biosphere Reserve.

Sitka National Historical Park
Commemorates the 1804 Battle of Sitka, Alaska

Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve
Referred to as the "mountain kingdom of North America" with peaks above 16,000 feet, including 18,008 ft. Mount St. Elias, and numerous glaciers.

Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve
Preserves and protects 115 miles of the Yukon River and Charley River basin.
